Drones - The Evolution of Transportation

Flying Cars DronesDrones - The Evolution of Transportation

If you read my blog you know I'm into flying cars and with traffic being what it is, they can't come about soon enough.  Doesn't matter what city you live in, it's not any better anywhere else. Either too many vehicles on the road or a failing infrastructure.  In this article on DailyMail.co.uk mega drones are being tested with multiple passengers, pilot-less control and with the ability to take the helm in an emergency.  The aircraft technology is producing a much needed benefit for air traffic control a well as other industries.

This is an epic shift in society, like going from horse and carriage to automobiles and entrepreneurs need to plan on this trend.  In less than 5 years it will be at consumer price levels and in 10 years, common place.  High rises and condos need to start being built with landing pads as the new garage.  With growing populations, pollution, the need for the use of alternative energies, infrastructure issues, drones and personal aircraft are a great solution to easy all of these problems.  And, aside from natural disasters and terrorism, one of the biggest problems our children will face in their life time that you can be certain of is population growth.

Handling and managing all the demands on resources that population growth will bring are where the opportunities lie.  If you think traffic sucks now, don't do anything about it.  Everyone knows it's gotten worse in the last few years, and that's everywhere.  So, forget the race to Mars, let's race to be the first country ready for the 22nd century.  Embrace it.  This is what will make America great!

Population Growth - Part Deux

SolidiaTech.com
A little more on the challenges of population growth in this article going from 2011 on to 2050.  Solidia Tech recognizes the CO2 emission problem that is present and growing.  Focusing just on the housing that will be necessary for 9.3 billion people, we need to start building now in all sectors, residential commercial and don't forget the prisons.

Not only do the building processes needs to make changes for cleaner manufacturing, where are these people going to go?  If you understand the impact, building single family homes seems like wasting precious space and any new construction should be at least 15 stories tall.   As a species on this planet, we, all nations, need to be united in building and designing mega-cities worldwide now.  Your grand kids will thank you.

Imaging cities like Birmingham, AL in 30 years getting as large as Sao Paulo Brazil is today.  And, this will be the new average worldwide.  China is building islands in the sea now.  Add a comment below, you do not have to be member to post.  All posts are moderated.

Population Growth - Opportunity and Challenges

Population GrowthA solid upward trend, that unlike other trends that diminish at some point, population growth is an escalating component that will overload just about every infrastructure in every country. Sighting this article from USAToday from 3 years ago, the projected numbers indicate there will huge problems and many opportunities. Meeting these challenge is what entrepreneurship is all about, meeting these challenges with an equally qualified concern for others and the environment should be our goal and responsibility.

On Wikipedia there is a breakdown of the population growth and in digging through it I took the population from when I was ten, approximately 189 million. In 40 years we've grown to 318 million. That's a plus of 135 or a 69.8 percent increase. In 2025 we are projected to hit 345 million an increase of 24 million, so if you add that to the cities seeing the boom roughly 1.5 million to the top 12 major cities in the US. Check these maps out from TheAtlantic.

There are opportunities in every market and challenges for all of us. (Can't say for sure, but weird to think there has never been this many people alive on the planet at the same time before.)
